One Prayer Away? - (Songspired ep.1)

 "Can you tell me something else?" 🤦🤦

Sometimes life overwhelms you so much, you can't even find words to express it. You don't even want to, you're simply tired. On top of that, the church is offering you the same thing.

But,
"You can talk to God" doesn't sound like an advice that works.

"God cares about you" does not ring true in your ears anymore.

Because, how about the times you've called and it didn't seem like He heard?
You've prayed and nothing happened?
You've praised and things remained the same?

But what if I tell you again
That God still cares?
That God's still there?

Will it matter?
Because you've heard it before
And now all you want to really do is ignore

But please don't
Praise still works
Prayer still works
God is not far

And sincerely, what are these problems, what are even generational curses before the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous?

I know you may be tempted to
Check out other options
But even if they may answer for a while
They won't last

God, Communion, Praise, Prayer - is what really works.
This is an encouragement
That you should just keep pressing
Things will EVENTUALLY change.

God is still just ONE PRAYER AWAY👇🏽  

Flipped through the TV, nothing good's on

To get your mind off of what's going wrong

Look through the freezer, 

like food can relieve you

From all of the emptiness left in your heart

No beautiful woman or human affection

Fixes the mess that you've dealt with so long

Nothing on Earth can keep you lifted

Chemical highs are eventually gone

I know that you've heard this before

And you really wish the church could say more to you

Cause God dont seem as close as you want Him to

Please remember, 

However he can

Know he'll be there to do

Whatever you can't, know he's only one - 

One prayer away

You're looking for shelter from all the bad weather

Desperately trying to flee from the cold

Generational curses, getting worse and

Family demons are centuries old

In the midst of the confusion, the abuse, the misuse

You gotta be superhuman to face the day

But we ask you to have faith 

Simply seek His face

And expect it all to eventually change

I know you've ignored this before

But I'll do my best to make all this 

clear to you

Even when you can't say nothing 

God's hearing you

Whatever you can't

Know he'll be there to do

Whatever you can't

Know he's only one

One prayer away

I know I can't make it with only me

So it's nice to have a father 

who will always be

One prayer away.
